Milk Tree

Milk Comes From Trees

Rick Rat and Fred Ant were
walking in the woods one day.
From a hole in a tree
They heard a voice say...

Milk comes from trees,
Books come from Bees.
Light comes from grapes,
Oranges have knees.

Silk from the Sun,
Buses from Mommy.
Jelly from moths,
Wool from the library.

Cows give us honey,
Sheep come from schools.
Smiles come from legs,
Clowns act like fools.

Rick Rat and Fred Ant
Both said at once...

It may be
Clowns do act like fools,
All of the rest
 Was not learned in school.

They looked in the hole
To see who was there.
Willy the Rabbit looked back
With a stare.

They said to the rabbit

Who taught you these things?
Its all wrong, silly hare !

2.

The rabbit looked left
And looked right
Here and there.
He said ....

Its all in this book.
I just read.
Thats where.

The Rat and the Ant
Looked closer at Willy
And saw that his eyes
Were covered by his hair.

Silly Willy said Fred
As he combed rabbits hair.
When his eyes were uncovered
The rabbit just stared.

He looked around
In a daze.
And they all saw that Willy
Was reading sideways.

Willy turned the book around
So it read left to right.
And he started to read
As he held the book right.

Ohhhhhhhhhh.......... said the rabbit
I think I see , now.

3.

Bees give us honey,
Milk comes from cows.
Thank you Fred Ant
I can see better now.

Smiles from Mommy
And buses from school.
Grapes give us jelly,
And sheep give us wool.

Books come from libraries,
Oranges from trees.
Moths give us silk,
And legs have knees.

If I hold this book right
Light comes from the Sun.
Clowns still act like fools
And reading is FUN !

Then Rabbit and Rat and Ant
Went walking.
Bouncing the Moon
And hearing Sun talking.

uh-ohhhhhhhhh..............
